Banjo Brothers panniers are designed to work with most rear bicycle-mounted rear racks. Our paniers fit rack tubing widths up to 12mm. Installing the small silver "dropout" hook we included with each product is a simple way to improve the ease of installation and secure the bag to the rack. The banjo brothers "triangle" attachment ring will also work with many racks which include an integrated rack hook. Banjo Brothers' encourages the use of our bags with racks which are built specifically for pannier use. This includes racks with adequate support for the pannier. This usually means racks with a "dog legged" shaped rear strut, like the Axiom Journey. If you are having issues with heel clearance, it is normally caused by bikes with short chainstays. The problem is not the bag, but the geometry of the bike. The typical work-around, is to install an adjustable rack which can position the bag either higher or further back. The best source for rack/pannier combo info is from your local bike shop. (Much better than the normal crap you find on the internet.)
