FIVE THINGS is a feature on the Banjo Brothers Blog. It’s a short interview about life and bicycles with a notable person. This week's notable person is cyclist Lilah Guertin.
The former bartender at Dangerous Man Brewing has also been a freelance event marketing professional, and store manager at Erik's. A year-round bike commuter, Lilah founded Wreckhouse and #SomethingInspirational Racing. A new photojournalism project on Instagram called femme_oral_order features a series of images that lift up femme-oriented people in Guertin's immediate communities.

FIVE THINGS is a feature on the Banjo Brothers Blog. It’s a short interview about life and bicycles with a notable person. This week's notable person is cyclist Chris Smith, a.k.a. Smithers MPLS.
"I don’t have a favorite bike. For me, a bike is just a tool to accomplish a task. I have favorite rides and choose the appropriate bike for that ride, or sometimes the inappropriate bike in order to make the ride more entertaining."

Quartuccio's other claim to fame is as co-founder and editor of Urban Velo, the definitive city-cycling culture magazine which was published from 2007-2014.
These days he works at Pfaltzgraphic, a design studio, toiling over brand identity, product graphics, messaging, and photography for bike industry clients. He's also a board member of Bike Pittsburgh, the local non-profit working towards bike and ped access, education, and Open Streets events.
He's married (to his best friend) and has a five-month-old son (Salvador) who he's priming for adventure.
We hope you enjoy this week's Banjo Brothers Five Things.

FIVE THINGS is a feature on the Banjo Brothers Blog. It’s a short interview about life and bicycles with a notable person. This week's notable person is cyclist Amanda Batty.
Raised on a farm just outside of Payson, Utah, Amanda Batty is a recently retired professional downhill and enduro racer. Described on the Packfiller Podcast by host Patrick Bulger as, "fast, opinionated, colorful, fun and as she says herself, feisty as f--k."
Batty's love-affair with the bike is eloquently chronicled on her personal website and it's just one of the many reasons she's a compelling subject for our Five Things project.
